Army deployed in Pakistan to quell violence following Imran Khan's arrest.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has declared the violence that erupted after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as a "black chapter". The military's media wing has warned that it will not allow anyone to take the law into their hands and that strict action will be taken against the facilitators, planners and political activists involved in the protests. The PTI has responded by calling Imran's arrest "illegal, unjustified and outrageous" and has accused the ISPR of having a "poor understanding" of the situation on the ground.
