"Australian PM Anthony Albanese Makes History with Valentine's Day Engagement"
TL;DR
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese became the first sitting PM to get engaged while in office, proposing to financial services professional Jodie Haydon on Valentine's Day after three years of dating. The couple met at an event in Melbourne, and Albanese reportedly put a lot of thought into the proposal, even designing Haydon's engagement ring. They are excited about the engagement but have not yet decided on wedding plans, with the next Australian election set to take place sometime between August 2022 and May 2025.
