Defending Congress: Rajdeep Sardesai on Scam Accused and Cash Haul

Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai defended Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu, who was recently involved in an Income Tax raid controversy. Sardesai claimed that Sahu had faced opposition within the party and alleged that the Congress initially wanted to deny him a ticket to the Rajya Sabha in 2018. However, Sardesai suggested that Sahu managed to secure his nomination with the help of influential Congress leaders, including one who is no longer alive. The controversy surrounding Sahu intensified after the IT Department recovered ₹353 crore of unaccounted cash from a company he is associated with.
