ICC Issues Arrest Warrant for Putin, Ukraine Reacts.

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the occupied city of Mariupol, Ukraine, in a move seen as provocative to Ukrainians. The visit came just days after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin and a Russian official for an alleged scheme to deport Ukrainian children to Russia. Mariupol was a symbol of resistance during weeks of relentless Russian attacks last year, and has been under direct Russian control since May 2022. Of the 450,000 people who lived in the city before the war, more than a third have already left.
