Imran Khan faces political turmoil as police arrest dozens and court hearing disrupted.

Pakistani police arrested 61 people after storming the residence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Lahore. The police acted to remove a barricade erected by members of Khan’s party and his supporters. Khan was not present at the time, having traveled to Islamabad to face charges of selling state gifts while in office and hiding his assets. Clashes between Khan’s supporters and police resulted in injuries to at least three police officers. The police found illegal structures and weapons inside Khan’s residence and plan to conduct a complete search. Khan has accused his successor and the US of conspiring against him.
