Miami Mayor Considers Presidential Bid

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, a Republican and the son of former Miami Mayor Xavier Suarez, is considering running for president in the 2024 GOP primary. Suarez, who would be the only Latino in the field thus far, believes he can grow the party by attracting more minorities. He sees himself as a unifier who appreciates the nuances in a variety of different Hispanic cultures. Suarez also commented on former President Donald Trump's popularity among Hispanic voters, saying that Democrats have been negligent in their branding and messaging to the Hispanic community.
