Milchan admits excessive gifts to Netanyahu in ongoing trial.

Hollywood mogul Arnon Milchan testified in court that the lavish gifts he gave to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife were excessive and unreciprocated. Milchan, who is not charged in the case, confirmed that he provided an ongoing supply of luxury cigars, champagne, and other items to the Netanyahus, largely at their request. Netanyahu is accused of graft and breach of trust for accepting the expensive gifts in one of three cases he is on trial for. The trial, which began in 2020, has featured more than 40 prosecution witnesses, including some close former Netanyahu confidants who turned against the premier.
