Odesa Mayor Detained for Corruption Charges

Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov has been taken into custody with the possibility of bail of UAH 13 million after being accused of seizing funds from the local budget of Odesa in 2016. Trukhanov and his accomplices were notified of suspicion in January 2020. The NABU and the SAPO prosecuted 12 people in the Krayan plant case, 8 of whom are currently being heard by the Higher Anti-Corruption Court.
