Poland's ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party has released a campaign ad portraying the German embassy as trying to influence Warsaw to raise the retirement age, as claims of foreign influence become central to the upcoming elections. The ad depicts a call from the German embassy to PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski, with Kaczynski asserting that the Polish people will decide the retirement age in a referendum. The opposition Civic Coalition (KO) did not comment on the ad. Poland will also hold a referendum on the day of the election, with questions on the retirement age, privatisation, border security, and rejecting migrants under an EU deal.
