Hemetti, the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, and his deputy appeared in Khartoum with their troops, defying the Commander in Chief of the Sudan Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who had stated that nobody knew where Hemetti was. The Sudanese army has taken control of the RSF premises in the capital to prevent them from coordinating their military operation.
