UAE Court Rejects South Africa's Extradition Request for Gupta Brothers.

South Africa's attempt to extradite Atul and Rajesh Gupta, two brothers from the wealthy Gupta family, from the UAE has failed. The brothers are accused of profiting from their close links with former President Jacob Zuma and exerting unfair influence. The UAE court rejected the extradition application on a technicality, ruling that as there were money-laundering offences allegedly committed in the UAE as well as South Africa, the UAE had jurisdiction to prosecute the Guptas. South Africa's justice ministry said it would appeal against the decision.
