White House Attacks CNN Journalist’s Playful Instagram Clip, Sparking Backlash

The White House's Rapid Response account reposted a clip of CNN correspondent Clarissa Ward dancing and posing playfully to the song Shake Your Groove Thing while on assignment in Mallorca, labeling her a “hot mess” and chastising her for public frivolity. Ward responded with a lighthearted Instagram caption celebrating the moment, and critics noted hypocrisy and drew comparisons to Trump-era dance moments as the exchange drew online scrutiny.
