The tweet contained an illustration of Jesus wearing a white robe and surrounded by children. Savoia manages the district's affairs regarding gender identity, sexual orientation, and other LGBTQ+ rights. She has also been criticized for proposing LGBTQ+ themed classroom activities. Dr. Aaron Rock, the lead pastor of Harvest Bible Church in Windsor, Ontario, called the tweet offensive to all Christians and unbecoming of a public official.
