Google has removed a game called "Slavery Simulator" from its app store after receiving widespread criticism from Brazilian social media users. The game, developed by Magnus Games, allowed players to "buy and sell" enslaved Black characters. Brazil's Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into why the game was made available on the Play Store. The game's prompts included "Slave level: the highest the level, the highest the profit the slave will bring" and "Use slaves for your own enrichment. Prevent the abolition of slavery and accumulate wealth."
