Investigations launched into Kerala boat tragedy with multiple probes.

Eleven members of a family, including four children, died in a boat accident in Kerala, India. The boat was carrying around 50 people, double its capacity, when it capsized. The operator did not have permission to take the boat into the waters after dusk. Overcrowding caused the boat to capsize, and many passengers were trapped under the vessel. The darkening night sky hindered rescue efforts. Only four persons in the family survived the accident.
