"Kenya Releases Bodies of Doomsday Cult Victims to Grieving Families"
TL;DR
Kenyans are grieving as the bodies of cult victims, who were lured to a remote forest and convinced to starve themselves to death by a charismatic pastor, are being returned to their families for burial. A scathing report by the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights outlines government negligence and failure to act on warnings, potentially contributing to the tragedy's scale. Prosecutors have charged the pastor and his leadership, but the death toll may rise as more remains are exhumed.
