"Unconventional Elements of King Charles's Coronation"

King Charles III plans to have a lower-key coronation ceremony on May 6, with a shorter procession route than his mother's in 1953. The ceremony will still feature ancient traditions and royal regalia, but will also include a bespoke emoji. Charles and Camilla will ride in a horse-drawn carriage with modern amenities, and the procession will go through Admiralty Arch, past Trafalgar Square, and by the houses of Parliament before arriving at Westminster Abbey. Charles will be crowned with the St. Edward's Crown, and Camilla will wear Queen Mary's Crown. The ceremony is expected to reflect Charles' plans to slim down the monarchy.
