27 indicted in Germany for alleged far-right coup plot with Russian links

German prosecutors have indicted 27 individuals, including a self-styled prince and a former far-right lawmaker, on terrorism charges in connection with an alleged plot to overthrow the government. The accused, who believed in conspiracy theories such as Reich Citizens and QAnon ideology, are charged with belonging to a terrorist organization and preparing for high treason. The group planned to storm the parliament building in Berlin, arrest lawmakers, and negotiate a post-coup order primarily with Russia. Far-right extremism has been identified as the biggest threat to Germany's domestic security, with previous incidents including the killing of a regional politician and an attempted attack on a synagogue.
