Sánchez: no advance warnings on Ceuta migrant surge, vows full dossier

Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said there were no alerts before the July Ceuta influx, insisting officials only described data and did not predict the scale of about 60,000 arrivals. He pledged to publish a dossier of official reports, defended the government's handling of the crisis, noted that most migrants have since returned to Morocco, and urged stronger EU border cooperation including a permanent Frontex presence and an Europol mission, as protests erupted at home and some 10,000 migrants remain in Ceuta.
