Pritzker Signs Cash Acceptance and Jury-Duty Pay Bills Among 87 New Illinois Laws

Governor JB Pritzker signed 87 bills, including a cash-acceptance requirement for most retailers on purchases under $500 with exemptions and a mandate for employers to pay employees their full jury-duty wage (with a 25-employee exemption). The package also covers CPR training updates, higher-education reporting transparency, new human-trafficking resources at rest stops, airport noise studies, and ambulance transport rules for mental-health cases.
