Digger's $245M Loss and Polarized Reviews Define a Historic Box Office Failure

Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s eco-satire 'Digger' is projected to lose $245 million, ranking among Hollywood’s biggest financial disasters. Despite a $160-180 million production budget and $100 million marketing spend, the film grossed only $35.3 million globally, with a 60% drop in second-weekend revenue. This failure marks the end of Warner Bros’ standalone era before its Paramount merger, following a year of poor returns for other releases like 'Supergirl'.
