"Brittany Watts: Arrested After Miscarriage and the Issues Around Black Childbirth"

Brittany Watts, a Black woman from Ohio, was charged with abusing a corpse after having a miscarriage in her bathroom. She believes her race played a role in the charges and is advocating for changes in laws for women who experience miscarriages. The charges were dropped after an Ohio grand jury decided not to indict her, and her attorney believes the hospital "weaponized the police" against her. Watts hopes to prevent similar situations from happening to other women in the future.
