"World Court Demands Israel's Action to Avert Famine Crisis in Gaza"

The International Court of Justice has issued new provisional measures for Israel in response to a case brought by South Africa, accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza. The measures call for Israel to ensure the unhindered provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza, including food, water, electricity, and medical supplies. Israel is also ordered to open more land crossings and prevent its military from committing acts that violate the rights of Palestinians in Gaza as a protected group under the Genocide Convention. The UN has emphasized that all Member States should abide by the ICJ's decisions.
