Unprovoked stabbing hits Midtown McDonald’s, tourist hospitalized

A 19-year-old Australian tourist was stabbed multiple times inside a Midtown Manhattan McDonald’s around 2 a.m.; he was hospitalized at Bellevue Hospital and is expected to recover. A 25-year-old Florida man, Juan Mercedes, was taken into custody for questioning and charged with assault.
