Lanning: NFL camp returns to college are ‘unfair to the sport’

Oregon coach Dan Lanning said players who train with NFL teams and then return to college hurt the sport, arguing roster limits and fairness issues. The piece also covers a Louisiana court granting a temporary injunction allowing 16 former players to seek a fifth year via a one-week transfer-portal window, in the wake of NCAA rules allowing five-year eligibility (with certain 2022 entrants excluded), plus related remarks from Browns coach Todd Monken about Dae’Quan Wright and other legal and roster considerations.
