"Geared-Up Facehugger Quivers with Readiness"

DIY enthusiast Jason Winfield has created a motion-activated, quivering Alien facehugger display using a Raspberry Pi. The device not only provides a jump scare with its twitching motion, light, and sound effects but also captures the reactions of those it surprises. The facehugger's legs are moved by a single motor through a rotating cam arrangement, with a planetary gear assembly to slow down the motor's speed for a more realistic quiver. This project combines electronics and movie memorabilia to create an interactive piece that's both technically impressive and entertaining.
