NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction Gets a Smarter Transformer

NVIDIA's DLSS 4.5 adds a second‑generation Ray Reconstruction model that combines denoising and upscaling in one pass using a more capable transformer. The new model has 20% more parameters and 35% more compute, delivers improved denoising with ray/path tracing, and runs with the same hardware requirements on RTX GPUs from the 20-series onward as a driver‑level override (no game patches needed). It also supports deeper scene awareness and better use of motion data, offering potentially crisper ray-traced images without demanding new silicon.
