OpenAI has announced GPT-4, its next-generation AI language model, which can process images, is better at creative tasks and problem-solving, and can process whole scientific papers and novellas in one go. GPT-4 is being integrated into mainstream products, including an AI tutor feature being developed by Kahn Academy and an integration with Duolingo. The model is also being used by Intercom to upgrade its customer support bot and by Stripe to answer employee questions based on its technical documentation. However, GPT-4 still makes mistakes and has limitations, including "hallucinating" information and being "confidently wrong in its predictions."
