Hyundai's Georgia Factory Races to Meet US EV Demand and Collaborates with Georgia Tech for Future Mobility Tech

Hyundai is expediting the construction of its factory in Georgia to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in the US. Originally planned for production in 2025, the company aims to start manufacturing EVs in Georgia by early 2025 or even earlier. The move is driven by the new clean vehicle tax incentives, which require EVs to undergo final assembly in North America. Hyundai is investing $12.6 billion in the Georgia facility, which will create over 8,500 jobs, and is also setting up a joint-venture battery factory. Kia, Hyundai's sister company, will also begin EV production in the US next year.
