Stellantis recalls 354k Jeeps globally for detached rear coil springs.

Stellantis is recalling over 354,000 Jeeps worldwide due to the risk of rear coil springs falling off while driving, which could cause a crash and create a hazard for other drivers. The recall affects certain 2022 and 2023 Grand Cherokee and 2021 to 2023 Grand Cherokee L SUVs, and is due to the springs being installed incorrectly in production. Stellantis is aware of 17 warranty claims, two customer assistance reports, and two field reports related to the issue, but no reports of crashes or injuries. Dealers will inspect and replace the assemblies if necessary, and owners will be notified by letter starting July 28.
