Tesla Faces Data Privacy Probe Over Massive Trove of Safety Complaints and Autopilot Data Leak.

A Tesla employee leaked over 23,000 internal files and documents to German publication Handelsblatt, revealing personal information on over 100,000 current and former employees, as well as thousands of reports of safety concerns with Tesla's Autopilot and Full Self-Driving systems. The data trove includes over 2,400 complaints of sudden unintended acceleration, over 1,500 complaints of braking problems, and more than 1,000 crashes linked to brake problems. The leak also shows how Tesla responded to these problems by committing to as little as possible in writing and avoiding written communication with customers.
