Accenture Announces Massive Layoffs, Cutting 19,000 Jobs Worldwide

Accenture is cutting 19,000 jobs, or 2.5% of its workforce, with in-house IT workers among those affected, as part of a cost reduction plan for fiscal 2024. The move comes after the company lowered its revenue projections for the rest of the year. Almost half of the job cuts will be made by the end of the current financial year. Despite reporting $15.8bn in revenue for its latest quarter, up 5% YoY, Accenture lowered its forecasts for the remainder of the year.
