Dollar General faces hefty fine for workplace safety violations.

Dollar General has been fined $245,544 in proposed penalties by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for exposing workers to safety hazards such as blocked emergency exits and electric panels at their Jersey Shore store in Lycoming County. This is part of the 180 nationwide investigations that showed Dollar General was jeopardizing worker safety. Dollar General has been fined over $15 million for workplace safety violations since 2017 and has 15 business days to comply with or contest the findings before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
