Elizabeth Holmes awaits April ruling on prison sentence delay.

Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced CEO of Theranos, appeared in court to request to remain free while her lawyers appeal her conviction for masterminding a blood-testing hoax. She faces an 11-year prison sentence if her request is denied. Holmes' lawyers argued that there were missteps in the presentation and omission of evidence during her trial that make it likely an appeals court will overturn her conviction. The judge hopes to issue his ruling in early April. Prosecutors argued that there is "no likelihood for reversal" of Holmes' conviction and that she should pay nearly $900 million in restitution to defrauded investors.
