Local Teacher Fatally Shot in Dunkin' Drive-Thru

Rachel King, a 35-year-old teacher at Grover Cleveland Elementary School in Philadelphia, was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Dunkin' in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County. Her 11-year-old son was in the car at the time but was unharmed. The shooter, described as a thin Black male wearing light-colored pants and a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt, fired multiple shots through King's driver's side window before fleeing the scene in a light-colored sedan. The Montgomery County DA's Office and Cheltenham Township Police are investigating. Mastery Charter Schools, where King worked, released a statement expressing their condolences and offering support to students and staff.
