Societe Generale's Crypto Division Launches Euro Stablecoin on Ethereum

Societe Generale's crypto division, SG Forge, has launched a stablecoin called EUR CoinVertible (EURCV) on Ethereum, which is the first euro-pegged stablecoin deployed on a public blockchain. The stablecoin will be offered to institutional clients as a settlement asset for on-chain transactions and a means for on-chain liquidity funding and refinancing. SG Forge won registration from France's Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) to offer cryptocurrency trading and custody services last September.
