Louisiana OMV data breached in massive software hack.

A massive data breach caused by the hacking of third-party software used by Louisiana's Office of Motor Vehicles has exposed the personal information of all Louisianans with a state-issued driver’s license, ID, or car registration. The cyber attack targeted the file-sharing software MOVEit, which is used by government agencies and companies around the world. There are currently no signs that the attackers have sold, used or released the data, but all Louisianans should take steps to safeguard their identity. Federal authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in the hack.
