Russian State-Sponsored Hackers Breach Microsoft Executive Emails

Microsoft disclosed that a Russian hacking group, Midnight Blizzard, gained access to its corporate email system and targeted the accounts of senior executives. The attack, which began in November, allowed the hackers to view and download some emails and documents. Microsoft's security team detected the breach in January and blocked further access. The company believes the Russian state-sponsored group was behind the hack and reassured that there is no evidence of access to customer environments, production systems, source code, or AI systems.
