Chevron Resolves Labor Dispute, Ending Strikes at Australian LNG Facilities

Strikes at Chevron's Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG facilities in Australia have ended after the company and unions accepted proposals on pay and conditions from the country's industrial arbitrator. The agreement, which includes improvements in pay, job security, rosters, and career progression, resolves a wage fight that has disrupted global gas markets for six weeks. The deal follows a similar resolution at Woodside Energy's LNG plant last month. No LNG shipments were disrupted during the strikes, and the agreement is expected to bring an end to most industrial action offshore Western Australia.
