Schumer aims to make Rochester a billion-dollar green hydrogen hub.

The Rochester area in New York State is at the center of a potential $1.25 billion federal funding for a network of green hydrogen facilities. Plug Power, a New York-based company that manufactures green hydrogen, would receive a significant portion of the funding to increase their production capabilities and join the network of over a dozen green hydrogen facilities in the northeast United States. The funding is expected to be finalized in early fall.
