Elizabeth Holmes Claims Inability to Pay Restitution After Prison Release.

Lawyers for Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced founder of Theranos, objected to a proposed restitution-payment plan that would require her to pay $250 a month after her release from prison. Holmes and her former boyfriend and business partner, Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, were ordered to pay more than $452 million in restitution. Prosecutors proposed the payment plan after a clerical error, but Holmes' attorneys disagreed, saying the judge considered "substantial evidence showing Ms. Holmes' limited financial resources." Holmes previously said she couldn't even pay her legal bills and would have to work for the rest of her life to pay for them.
