Lawmakers Demand Transparency from Silicon Valley Bank's Major Depositors

Senators Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have sent letters to 14 of the largest depositors at the failed Silicon Valley Bank, asking for details about their relationship with the bank. The lawmakers are concerned about the relationship between the bank and some of the largest venture capital firms that invested in it. The letters ask the companies to disclose how long they had been invested in the bank, how much money they had deposited, and whether the bank provided the company with perks like low-interest loans. The lawmakers are asking for answers from the firms by April 24.
