Scenic Fruit Company is recalling frozen organic pineapple and frozen fruit blends containing organic pineapple due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recall is in response to Sunrise Growers Inc.'s recall, which involved multiple major brands across the US. The recalled products were sold at Trader Joe's retail stores nationwide and Health Food stores in several states. Consumers are urged to destroy or return the products for a full refund. No illnesses have been reported so far. Listeria infections can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening illnesses, particularly in pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
