Andrea Gacki Appointed as Director of FinCEN, Leading Treasury's Financial Crimes Team

Andrea Gacki has been appointed as the new Director of the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Gacki, who currently serves as the Director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), brings extensive experience in implementing and enforcing economic sanctions. She will lead FinCEN's efforts in safeguarding the U.S. financial system and implementing the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020, including the Corporate Transparency Act. Acting Director Himamauli "Him" Das will assist Gacki during the transition period.
