Deadly Listeria Outbreak Prompts Massive Meat Recall

A listeria outbreak linked to ready-to-eat meat and poultry products has resulted in the death of a California infant and sickened 10 others across four states. Yu Shang Food, Inc. has recalled over 72,000 pounds of products, including chicken feet and pork hock, after routine tests detected listeria. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that nine of the affected individuals have been hospitalized. Consumers are advised to discard or return the recalled products and sanitize any surfaces that may have come into contact with them.
