European Authorities Investigate Suicide Risks of Weight-Loss Injections

European regulators are investigating whether the use of the diabetes medication Ozempic, developed by Novo Nordisk, increases the risk of suicidal thoughts. The investigation comes after reports of patients experiencing suicidal thoughts while taking the drug. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is conducting the probe and will assess all available data to determine if any regulatory action is necessary. Novo Nordisk has stated that they are cooperating fully with the investigation and will provide any additional information required by the EMA.
