FDA Approves New Covid Booster for Seniors Over 65

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that adults aged 65 and older and those with weakened immune systems receive another dose of the reformulated Covid-19 booster shot. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the booster plan on Tuesday, and eligible Americans will be able to receive booster doses immediately. The CDC also phased out the original vaccine formulas created by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, revoking their authorizations in the United States. Unvaccinated people will now require just a single dose of the reformulated Covid shot to be considered vaccinated.
