FDA Recalls Real Kosher Ice Cream Due to Listeria Outbreak

Real Kosher Ice Cream is being recalled due to possible Listeria contamination. The ice cream, sold in 19 states including Massachusetts, is being recalled in all flavors sold up to August 4th. Two people have reported getting sick from consuming the ice cream, but no cases have been reported in Massachusetts. Listeria can cause symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, and abdominal pain, and can also lead to miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women. The company has ceased production while the FDA investigates the outbreak. Consumers are advised to stop eating the ice cream and discard any purchased products.
