Horizon recalls nearly 54k cases of chocolate milk over odor and taste issues

Horizon Organic Dairy has recalled about 53,760 cases of its 1% Chocolate Milk (12-pack and 18-pack) sold nationwide after customers reported bloated cartons and an unpleasant smell, taste or texture; affected UPCs are 742365002700 (12-pack; best-by Jan 28–Feb 3, 2027) and 742365208867 (18-pack; best-by Jan 31–Feb 2, 2027). The recall began Aug. 7 and is ongoing. Consumers should discard affected products, keep receipts and packaging, and call Horizon at 1-888-494-3020 for refunds while the cause is investigated.
