Michigan eases lettuce guidance as cyclosporiasis outbreak slows

Michigan health officials say new cyclosporiasis cases and related emergency department visits are declining, allowing residents to resume normal lettuce and salad greens; the nine-state outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico has caused more than 12,400 cases and two Michigan deaths, with Taco Bell halting use of the recalled lettuce and Taylor Farms' recall in effect, while the CDC continues nationwide monitoring.
